The Theme

Each "Blowtorch Shorts" pokes fun at or "parodies" a specific theme or topic. That said, there's never any pre-conceived singular idea of how a theme might be interpreted. The theme for the very first "Blowtorch Shorts" is "TECHNOLOGY." It will premier before the screening of our first feature film, "You Are Here," spring, 2008.

In response to our call for "TECHNOLOGY" related ideas from the professional community: writers, directors, and producers, we received nearly100 submissions. From those, the Blowtorch production team narrowed them down to the eight we thought to be the most provocative and engaging of the bunch.
